What Is Academic Research?

Academic research is conducted without an external sponsor and solely under the responsibility of the principal investigator. For clinical trials involving investigational products, it refers to a trial independently initiated and conducted by the investigator.

  • Follow-up consultation fee
  • Drug management and medication administration fees
  • Specimen storage fee (freezer use)
  • Clinical Trials Center outpatient clinic usage fee
  • One initial monitoring session for research participants
Additional Support
(Phase I and Phase I/II only; since March 25, 2013)
  • Monitoring service: free monitoring support for 20% of enrolled research participants
  • Clinical Trials Center Research Ward hospitalization fee (six-bed room rate) for intensive pharmacokinetic sampling and pharmacodynamic marker measurements
※ An initial consultation fee applies to new patients and first visits when a new hospital registration number is issued.
※ Any other charges incurred shall be borne by the research participant or researcher.
