Director's Message

Welcome to the Seoul National University Hospital Clinical Trials Center.

Since taking its first steps as the Clinical Evaluation Center in 1995, the Clinical Trials Center has led the advancement of clinical trials at home and abroad for more than 30 years, continuously striving to help Seoul National University Hospital establish itself as a world-class research-oriented hospital. In 2004, it became the first center in Korea to be designated a Regional Clinical Trials Center by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and in 2012 it was selected as a Global Center of Excellence for Early-Phase Clinical Trials, positioning itself as one of the world's leading early-phase clinical trial hubs.

The Clinical Trials Center holds the safety of trial participants and research ethics as its highest values, and will open new horizons in medical research by actively harnessing cutting-edge technologies, including artificial intelligence. Beyond mere technological progress, this reflects our commitment to improving patients' quality of life and to creating a safer, more trustworthy clinical environment.

Going forward, the Clinical Trials Center pledges to work closely with medical staff, researchers, and patients to build a future-oriented research ecosystem and to continue serving as a leader that charts the direction of the medicine of tomorrow.
